Time Records for Student Assistants, Readers, and Tutors

Student time records are used to report hours worked in Student Assistant II - IV positions. Readers and Tutors also use these time records. There are two types of time records:

  • work study
  • non-work study
Where to obtain: Time records may be obtained from the Physical and Biological Sciences Business Office and are also found in the various Physical and Biological Sciences Department Offices.

How to complete: Students should enter, to the nearest quarter hour, the number of hours worked on each workday. If the student works for more than one supervisor, a separate line should be used for each position.

Signatures required:

  • the student's
  • the supervisor's (all supervisors if there are more than one)
  • Important Note for Readers and Tutors only: payroll cannot be processed for Readers and Tutors without the Department Office Assistant's approval (signature).
When to submit: Hourly time records are due in the Business Office on the 24th of each month.
Note: Because December and February are very short work months, earlier deadlines are set. Dec. and Feb. due dates will be posted in the Physical and Biological Sciences Business Office and the Academic Department Offices.

Late submission of time records may result in a significant delay in payment.
