Benefits for Academic Employees (Non-Student)
(e.g. Faculty, Lecturers, Postgraduate Researchers, Researchers, Specialists, Visiting--, etc.)

The University offers a comprehensive and varied benefit plan. Contact your Personnel/Payroll Representative to discuss:

  • your eligibility for benefits
  • your deadline for initial enrollment in benefits
  • the effective date of your benefits
  • retaining benefits while on leave

For specific questions or counseling about benefit plans, changing beneficiaries or coverage, please contact the campus UCSC Benefits Office at (831) 459-2013. Information is also available at the UCSC Benefits Office web site or at UC Office of the President's At Your Service web site and the AHR web site.


Benefits for Student Academic Employees
(e.g. TA, GSR, Reader, Tutor)

No Employee Benefits are provided to students as a result of their employment in an academic student title. Graduate students should contact the Graduate Division for information on Graduate Student Health Insurance.

The University of California has partnered with Garnett-Powers and Associates to offer a comprehensive benefits programs for Postdoctoral Scholars and their families. Contact your Personnel/Payroll Representative to discuss:
